Expedition Ice Bound from 1995 to 2001 saw the 60' expedition yacht Spirit of Sydney sail to Cape Dension, Antarctica. Initially mounted to support Don and Margie's winter over in Gadget Hut the expeditions continued on to allow over fifty adventurers to experience this unique wilderness and face the challenges of sailing to this area, the windiest in the world. Expedition Ice Bound is now being undertaken on board the Ice Ship "Sir Hubert Wilkins" which is planning two expeditions to Antarctica in the upcoming 2001-2002 season.
